Our Houses and Rooms
The Fairy Garden Guesthouse is located in three houses: the Walnut House, the Pear Tree House, and the Apple Tree House. When you visit us, it won’t be hard to guess why, as they were named after three beautiful trees that have adorned the garden for over a hundred years.
In the well-known Walnut House, you will find our Sunflower and Lavender rooms, as well as the Family Suite, consisting of the Juniper and Bell Tower rooms. This house also houses the breakfast room.
In the Apple Tree House, opened in 2020, there are a total of 6 rooms on 2 floors. On the ground floor, we have 4 charming double rooms named Snowberry, Oak, Chanterelle, and Hawthorn. Upstairs, two larger, so-called “small suites” await our guests, the Poppy and Hydrangea rooms. These suites also have small children’s rooms, allowing for more comfortable rest. There is also a common lounge upstairs, between the Poppy and Hydrangea rooms.
Our Pear Tree House consists of exclusively large rooms and was also opened in 2020. We have two upstairs small suites, Camomile, and Almond, which are accompanied by a small room for children much to the delight of those traveling with kids. The ground floor rooms, Breeze Rose, and Rosemary, are for 3 persons each, but extra beds can be added for 2 children. These ground floor rooms come with a small entrance area with a table and chairs. Our reception is also located in the Pear Tree House.
Sustainable Climate Control
At Tündérkert Guesthouse, we've chosen a unique climate control system designed to combine exceptional guest comfort with environmental responsibility.
Keeping our rooms pleasantly cool during the summer was one of our biggest priorities. Rather than installing conventional air conditioning units—which can be noisy, require unattractive outdoor equipment, and often create uncomfortable drafts—we opted for a more advanced and sustainable solution.
Our guesthouse is equipped with an active ventilation system that cools or heats the fresh air supplied to each room. Traditional heat recovery units have been replaced with modern NILAN air handling systems featuring built-in heat pumps. These systems recover virtually all of the energy from the outgoing air while quietly heating or cooling the incoming fresh air, creating a comfortable indoor climate without drafts.
Because the heat pumps recover energy from the exhaust air, no outdoor units are required, making the system both discreet and highly energy-efficient.
The result is everything you need for a peaceful and comfortable stay: the clean, fresh air of the Őrség region, a perfectly balanced indoor climate, and environmentally conscious technology powered by green energy—with no unnecessary waste.
